Holistic Nutrition and Weight Loss Consulting

What a great time to restock your kitchen!
Throw out the old, and replace with healthier versions!

*Start with cleaning out all expired dressings, condiments etc. Replace creamy fat based dressings with healthier oil and vinegar based or lower fat ones. Check for sugar content and artificial ingredients.

*Try substituting the high sugar brand yogurts for organic yogurts or plain yogurt and add your own fruits and nuts. You can also use the plain yogurt in place of sour cream.

*Check your freezer also, those unidentified packages you threw in at the beginning of winter may have freezer burn or worse and need to be tossed out. Replace meats with organic, local ones that are free of antibiotics and hormones.

*Your cupboards could use an overhaul as well! All those processed crackers, cookies and chips that make you feel so good in the winter months, toss’em and replace with good ol nuts and dried fruits, whole food bars, and even some organic brown rice crackers if you need the crunch.

*There are several snack type foods that are better than others. Check for artificial ingredients, hydrogenated fats, msg and basically any ingredients you can’t identify.

This should get you started, but for a full kitchen makeover, email or call me.

what else.......

it may be a good idea to do "cleaning” on your own body.

·         Do you smoke?

·         Are you exposed to environmental toxins on a regular basis?

·         Do you drink less than 6-8 glasses of purified water a day?

·         Do you drink soda or alcohol regularly?

·         Do you eat processed foods?

·         Do you crave junk food?

·         Are you tired, constipated, bloated, or lack focus?

·         Do you have unusual dark circles under your eyes?

·         Do you have blood sugar problems?

·         Do you have sleep problems?

·         Do you use prescription drugs regularly?

If any of these sounds like you, then detoxing can be beneficial.

You can use a kit or follow a plan whichever one is easiest for you.

If you have questions or need direction please email or call me.
